Greg Lawler

Founder ( Field Operations & Fire Safety Educator )

Greg Lawler is a retired Fire Captain with 34 years of service and the founder of Grace Under Fire.

His experience on the fireground shaped a clear understanding: outcomes are often determined before help arrives—by awareness, preparation, and early decision-making.

Today, he leads the operational side of Grace Under Fire with a strong focus on fire extinguisher compliance, inspection standards, and documentation, ensuring clients remain aligned with AHJ requirements, insurance expectations, landlord obligations, OSHA regulations, and NFPA standards.

Through Grace Academy, he works alongside a team of instructors to develop technicians who operate professionally in the field—delivering compliant, reliable service while understanding the responsibility behind the work.

Bertha Lawler

Community Engagement

Bertha Lawler leads community engagement for Grace Under Fire, welcoming clients with a warm, approachable presence that helps people feel comfortable, understood, and supported.

Known for her ability to connect, inspire, and empower, she introduces fire safety in a way that is practical, clear, and easy to apply in everyday life.

Fluent in English and Spanish, she plays a key role in building relationships with families, staff, and communities—helping them understand not only the importance of fire safety, but also how compliance supports a safe and prepared environment for everyone.
